George Blackwell

George Blackwell is a Consultant Solicitor and Co-Founder of Blackwell Short, providing trusted advice to individuals and families in relation to Wills, Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Property transactions.

George understands that many legal matters involve important personal and financial decisions. Whether helping clients plan for the future, administer a loved one's estate or navigate a property transaction, he focuses on providing trusted guidance that gives clients confidence and peace of mind.

Before entering the legal profession, George spent 25 years working in public hospital administration throughout regional New South Wales, including Orange. This experience gave him a deep understanding of people, organisations and the challenges faced by regional communities. Since being admitted as a solicitor, he has built a reputation for delivering thoughtful advice and exceptional client service.

In 2006, George Co-Founded Blackwell Short alongside Anthony Short. He takes great pride in the firm's growth from a small local practice into one of the Central West's leading law firms and remains committed to supporting both clients and the next generation of legal professionals.

Outside the office, George remains actively involved in the Orange, community through Rotary and enjoys the ongoing challenge of learning to play the banjo.
